BCSO: 16-year-old arrested weeks after a shooting at a party that left 1 dead, another hospitalized

The original incident stems from a fatal shooting that occurred on Dec. 8.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office arrested a teen murder suspect weeks after he allegedly killed a 15-year-old boy and left 17-year-old girl hospitalized after firing shots at a party.

On Dec. 8, deputies responded to the 10400 block of Loop 106 after receiving several 911 calls reporting gunfire at a residence hosting a party.

Upon arrival, they found a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl with gunshot wounds. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene and the girl was hospitalized, but would recover from her injuries.

The party was reportedly hosted by friends of the victims and witnesses told police they saw a dark-colored Dodge Charger stopped in front of the residence. Shortly after several individuals approached the vehicle, gunshots rang out, striking both victims.

Investigators were able to quickly identify the suspect responsible for this crime and tracked him down to an apartment complex in Austin.

With the assistance of Austin PD and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, on Dec. 30, the teen murder suspect was arrested and taken to the Hays Count Juvenile Detention Center on two counts of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for a homicide.

The teen is waiting to be extradited back to Bexar County.
