A 17-year-old woman was fatally shot in the head during a party in southwest Bexar County early Sunday.
SAN ANTONIO — A woman was shot and killed at a party in southwest Bexar County early Sunday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
Bexar County deputies were called to the 13900 block of Luckey Road following a 911 call for a shooting in progress around 2:30 a.m.
The caller told authorities that a fight involving multiple people had broke out at a party. As the confrontation moved to the street, several gunshots rang out. A witness said she then saw a woman lying motionless in the roadway and was run over by a fleeing vehicle, described as a black pickup truck.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 17-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her head. First responders performed life-saving measures but she was later pronounced dead.
Investigators collected shell casings, clothing and jewelry at the scene. One witness told investigators they saw the woman lying on the ground near an armed man at the time of the shooting.
