BCSO: 4 arrested, more than 2 pounds of fentanyl seized in Bexar County traffic stop

When you say two pounds of most other drugs, it really isn’t that much… but fentanyl is another story.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — More than two pounds of fentanyl have been seized thanks to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop.

When you say two pounds of most other drugs, it really isn’t that much… but fentanyl is another story.

Bexar County deputies found a kilo of fentanyl during that stop and say that much can make 500,000 pills that could easily kill a lot of people, as just 2 milligrams of fentanyl can kill someone.

During the traffic stop, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit arrested four people: 32-year-old Christopher Rivera, 20-year-old Alan Segura, 21-year-old Allyson Alvarez and 33-year-old Erik Gonzalez, who is a documented gang member.

Rivera is the only one who was arrested on a warrant for having drugs.

Deputies say Segura was charged with possession of marijuana and THC oil.

Alvarez was also charged with having THC oil.

Gonzalez was charged with possession of fentanyl and meth.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says if you’re aware of any drug-related activity in your community, email them at BCSOTips@bexar.org.
