BCSO identifies murder suspect in case of 17-year-old girl gunned down at Bexar County party in September

Authorities believe 18-year-old Deshawn Suggs to be Alianna Ujueta’s killer.

SAN ANTONIO — Bexar County authorities continue to investigate the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl who officials say was killed when a fight outside a party turned violent in September.

Now, more than a month later, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has identified a suspect authorities are looking for: 18-year-old Deshawn Suggs.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived to the 13900 block of Luckey Road in southwest Bexar County early in the morning of Sept. 28 for reports of a shooting in progress. According to officials, a fight had reportedly broken out at a party and spilled onto the street, where gunshots rang out.

A witness reported seeing a girl, later identified as Alianna Nicole Ujueta, lying motionless in the road before she was run over by a fleeing vehicle described as a black pickup truck. Authorities responding to the scene found her with a gunshot wound to the head, officials at the time said, but she died despite efforts from first responders.

The county medical examiner later ruled her death a homicide.

Anyone with information on Suggs’ whereabouts is urged to contact BCSO by calling (210) 335-6000 or emailing bcsotips@bexar.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
