BCSO: Man arrested after assaulting woman holding child at San Antonio gas station

Witnesses told deputies the man physically grabbed the victim by the hair and threw her to the ground while she was holding an infant child in her arms.

SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of assaulting a woman who was holding her 3-month-old child during a domestic incident at a gas station in northeast San Antonio.

On March 7, deputies took Juan Cisneros into custody after responding to a report of an assault involving a woman and her infant in the 16500 block of Shepherd Road, BCSO confirmed.

During a verbal argument, the woman attempted to walk away from Cisneros to seek safety when witnesses told deputies they saw Cisneros grab the woman by the hair and throw her to the ground while she was still holding the child. The victim appeared extremely shaken, witnesses said, and the suspect continued yelling at her while she was on the ground.

Cisneros allegedly fled the scene in a gray Ford Fusion before deputies arrived.

Following an investigation, deputies located Cisneros and took him into custody. He was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on charges of assault family violence and abandoning or endangering a child.
