BCSO: Man dies from injuries after being shot in chest on far northeast side, suspect arrested

Deputies are investigating what led up to the shooting.

SAN ANTONIO — A man who was fighting for his life after being shot in the chest in far northeast Bexar County Tuesday morning has died, according to officials. 

It happened around 8:15 a.m. on Chipping Drive at Oldham Drive in between Windcrest and Converse.

Life-saving measures were performed on the 40-year-old victim, but he died from his injuries. 

Authorities said 19-year-old Keylow Ken Kimenker has been arrested and charged with the murder. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail. His bond was set at $750,000. 

No other information was provided.
