Officials say that the 19-year-old man was riding in the back of the pickup truck while it was “mudding” on private property.
SAN ANTONIO — A young man is dead after officials with Bexar County Sheriff’s Office say he fell out of the back of a pickup truck and was subsequently run over.
It happened around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 16300 block of U.S. Highway 281 North at 281 Offroad CC, which is an offroad park with dirt bike trails and off-roading available.
Officials say that the 19-year-old man was riding in the back of the pickup truck while it was “mudding” on private property when he fell out of the bed.
First responders performed CPR on him but he was pronounced dead. His identity has been confirmed by the Bexar County Medical Examiner as Blake West.
His family has created a GoFundMe page to help raise money for his funeral expenses.
According to the GoFundMe, West graduated from Southwest High School in 2024. He was married and has an infant daughter.
