Victims at both shooting scenes said Kevin Michael Balditt had threatened them via text earlier in the day, officials said.
SAN ANTONIO — Bexar County authorities are looking for a man they say is responsible for pulling the trigger in two shootings that unfolded “minutes apart” on July 22 after placing his truck at both scenes.
Sheriff’s deputies first responded to a home on Pure Silver, just north of the Alamo Ranch area, after someone fired at a parked car, “striking the windshield,” the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said in a Facebook post. Before deputies even arrived, authorities said, another shooting was reported at a home along Silverhollow about 25 miles away on the north side.
The Silverhollow shooting damaged a vehicle, garage door and front door to a home. It’s unknown if anyone was hurt, but BCSO said victims at both scenes had argued with Kevin Michael Balditt “in a group text where threats were allegedly made.”
Law enforcement discovered his car was at both shooting scenes and proceeded to search his home the next day, where they found two guns, surveillance footage, shell casings and Balditt’s phone.
“Digital evidence placed Balditt at both crime scenes,” BCSO said. “He admitted driving during both shootings but claimed another person fired the gun.”
Balditt now faces four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as one count of deadly conduct, but authorities are still looking for him.
If you have any information as to his whereabouts, you’re urged to call BCSO at (210) 335-6000 or email the agency at BCSOTIPS@bexar.org; you can remain anonymous.
