A road rage incident involving three vehicles sends one to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to BCSO.
In a press conference, Sheriff Javier Salazar said that at about 9 a.m. Saturday morning, deputies responded to a shooting in South Bexar County near Southside High School. The school had nothing to do with the shooting but did go into temporary lockdown, according to Salazar.
It started with two vehicles driving southbound on Roosevelt. For an unknown reason, a traffic altercation took place.
Salazar says the driver of a black SUV pulled out a gun on the other driver and started chasing them down the road.
Eventually, this caused the second vehicle to sideswipe an unrelated third vehicle, who also joined in on the chase.
After the three vehicles chased each other for a while, they all came to a stop at an unknown location near but not at the aforementioned high school.
The driver of the third vehicle confronted the second driver who sideswiped him. During that confrontation, Salazar says the driver of the black SUV approached and shot the second vehicle’s driver. He then fled the scene in his vehicle.

BCSO says the suspect is a Hispanic man, age unknown. They do not have the license plate number but are working on getting a better description of the suspect vehicle.
