BCSO searching for missing woman last seen at Orangetheory Fitness

SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help locating a missing woman who was last seen Tuesday morning. 

Deputies said Melissa Marie Garcia, 40, was last seen on April 23 at Orangetheory Fitness on Pat Booker Road in Universal City around 6 a.m.   

Garcia is 5’7″ feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black leggings and workout clothes.  

Deputies said Garcia reportedly went to workout between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Orangetheroy employees confirmed Garcia attended a workout session. 

Family members said Garcia would typically return home after her workout before leaving again for work. Garcia did not return home and missed work on Wednesday.  

Garcia drives a blue 2017 Nissan Versa. 

Deputies said there is reason to believe Melissa may be in the Houston, Texas area.
