BCSO searching for video of woman dying after fatal shooting at party

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a party that may have led to the death of a woman early Saturday morning, March 9. At about 4 a.m. Saturday on the 8200 block of Old Pearsall Road at an old Knights of Columbus Hall, the BCSO responded to a call for a shooting, according to a report from KSAT12.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar told the station the woman, who is 21 years old, had been shot and died at the scene. A man, 29, was also reportedly shot at the scene, but suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Salazar said there was what looked to be a “rave-like” party at the building, which he said looks like “it’s not even supposed to be occupied,” because it had illegal hookups to water and electricity to it. The party was publicized through social media, he added.

Salazar said  they were told by some witnesses that there should be some video of the incident some where, because some people were recording the woman while she was dying. “People sat there and videotaped this little girl as she was dying,” Salazar told the station. “That’s about as cold-blooded and disturbing as you can get.”

There was a man who was later arrested hours after the shooting when he returned to the scene for a cell phone. Salazar told the station he was arrested because of a warrant he had on an unrelated drug charge. However, he added the man also was in possession of a weapon, but they were unsure if it was connected to the shooting.

Salazar added they are sure there are some people who know what happened, and are asking for people to please come forward with any other additional information. Those who wish to share any information can by contacting 210-335-6000.
