BCSO seeks help finding red Jeep driver possibly involved in fatal hit-and-run

Officials say the victim was crossing the road when she was fatally hit by a red Jeep Wrangler. The driver failed to stop to render aid and fled the scene.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office need help finding a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Friday night.

The accident happened around 9:11 p.m. along the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 181 South at Adkins-Elmendorf Road in southeast Bexar County.

Officials say the victim was crossing the road when she was fatally hit by a red Jeep Wrangler. They say the driver failed to stop to render aid and fled the scene.

The vehicle may be a red 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler. It’s unclear if it’s a two-door or four-door model. Officials do believe the vehicle has significant front-end damage on the driver’s side and likely to be missing a driver’s side black fender.
