BCSO: Two men posed as law enforcement before breaking into woman’s home on southeast side

Investigators said the suspects fled in a bronze-colored SUV with medium-tinted windows and black rims.

SAN ANTONIO — Two men are accused of posing as law enforcement officers before breaking into a woman’s home on the southeast side, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the break-in happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of Aloe Vera Trace near South W.W. White Road.

Investigators said the suspects claimed to be law enforcement before entering the home. The sheriff’s office emphasized the men are not affiliated with any legitimate law enforcement agency.

According to BCSO, the men broke a rear window to get inside the home. Deputies have not said whether the woman was inside during the burglary, if she was injured or whether anything was stolen.

Investigators said the suspects fled in a bronze-colored SUV with medium-tinted windows and black rims. Deputies noted the rear license plate was covered with a plastic bag, making it difficult to identify the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office said investigators do have a lead in the case but are asking the public for help identifying the suspects or the SUV.

Anyone with surveillance footage or information is asked to contact BCSO at 210-335-6000 or submit tips online.
