BCSO: Woman arrested after toddler is found wandering neighborhood alone

The boy’s mother is expected to face a child endangerment charge.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Bexar County authorities say a woman is facing a child endangerment charge after her toddler was found wandering outside in a neighborhood Tuesday morning, alone and wearing only a dirty diaper. 

The child was found at the corner of Bright Pass and Hollow Trail in west Bexar County, the sheriff’s office initially shared on social media, his parents nowhere to be found. Deputies said he had “no obvious injuries.” 

By 12:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office said his parents were found and being reunited with the boy. A few hours later, BCSO also said the mother was being taken into custody. She hasn’t been identified. 

CPS investigators are involved in the case, officials said.
