BELTON, Texas — A Central Texas woman marked a very important milestone this week, and the Belton Police Department stepped in to help her celebrate.

Belton Police said Ms. Ferrill recently turned 101, and two officers had the pleasure of welcoming her to a surprise party!

Ferrill thought she was going to tea, police said, but instead, Officer Schmille and Officer Mondragon opened the doors of Tirzah, an event space in downtown Belton, to a room full of smiling faces and applause all waiting to help her celebrate her birthday.

The department shared a video of the moment Ferrill entered the room, capturing her smile as she saw the festive scene.

“Happy birthday, Ms. Ferrill, from all of us at Belton PD,” the department said in a post on social media.
