Bexar County authorities seek help locating missing 55-year-old man last seen on Christmas Day

James Nunnery is described as being 6-foot-4 and weighs about 300 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 55-year-old man who was last seen Christmas morning leaving the state. 

James Nunnery was last seen around 8 a.m. on Dec. 25 after leaving his mother’s home, authorities said. He was traveling to Mississippi and planned to make a stop in Dallas.

Family members last spoke with Nunnery around 10 a.m., at which time he said he was about 180 miles outside of Dallas, according to officials.

Nunnery is described as being 6-foot-4 and weighs about 300 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

He is believed to be driving a gray Kia Sorento. The vehicle’s year and license plate number are unknown.
