Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez is accused of killing the King of the Hill actor in June of this year.
SAN ANTONIO — The suspect accused in the June death of King of the Hill actor Jonathan Joss was indicted by a grand jury Monday, according to the district attorney’s office.
Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez is accused of killing Joss, legally known as Jonathan Joss Gonzales. Joss was best known for his role as John Redcorn in the King of the Hill animated series.
SAPD said on June 1 at around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Dorsey Street for a shooting in progress.
Upon arrival, police said they found a man who had been shot multiple times. Emergency crews performed life-saving measures, but officials said Joss was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police report said shows Alvarez confessed to officers the night of the murder. He has since been charged in the murder.
Monday, more than five months later, a grand jury indicted Alvarez on Joss’ murder. His case has been assigned to the 437th District Court.
