A man receives a 13-year sentence for sexual contact with a minor, admitting his wrongdoing.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was sentenced Tuesday to more than 10 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a minor.
Robert Louis Ynostrosa Moreno II, 28, was sentenced to 13 years in prison and given a $1,000 fine
Back in February, Moreno II was charged with Sexual Coercion, Indecency With a Child – Sexual Contact and Online Solicitation of a Minor. The Sexual Coercion charge was dropped a few months back. He was found guilty on both counts.
According to BCSO, Moreno reportedly first encountered child pornography in 2017 or 2018 and allegedly last viewed it in 2023. Over the years, Moreno talked with about 20 people who are sexually interested in children and received explicit material showing kids.
Authorities said Moreno admitted to having “physical sexual contact” with a child on two occasions. He reportedly admitted this “was wrong.”
In the courtroom, Moreno said he was ashamed of his actions.
“I can promise I won’t do anything like this again. I’m deeply ashamed, I was young I was very dumb. I made mistakes and like I said I’m ashamed of my actions,” Moreno said.
Before the sentencing Moreno also asked Judge Boyd for leniency.
“I want to thank my family for standing by me – as for your consideration for probation as my family said they would set up no internet, no phone, no way of contacting the victim or anyone who could be a victim.”
Moreno will serve his time concurrently and get credit for time served.
