Bexar County Public Works will be spraying for mosquitos in June

Standing water on the ground or in containers can be a breeding ground for mosquitos.

SAN ANTONIO — We’ve had a lot of rain across the San Antonio over the last few days, and with that rain comes the inevitable… mosquitos.

In an effort to help reduce the amount of the pesky insects in our city, Bexar County Public Works will begin mosquito abatement efforts.

What that means is that they will be spraying neighborhoods across the city.

If you have mosquitoes, they may be originating from your property. The City of San Antonio suggests you check for standing water on the ground or containers holding water. These are common breeding places for mosquitoes.

Fogging officially begins in June.
