Authorities are not releasing the name of the bicyclist until family is notified of the incident.
BULVERDE, Texas — The Bulverde Police Department says a bicyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 281.
Around 5:30 a.m., police responded to the 33100 block of U.S. Highway 281 after receiving reports of a crash involving a bicyclist.
BPD, along with the assistance of the San Antonio Police Department Traffic Investigation Division, investigated the incident and said the person on the bicycle died due to the crash.
No word on if the driver stayed on the scene or if any charges will be filed or not.
