SAN ANTONIO — Downtown San Antonio is poised to transform into fandom heaven this fall as Big Texas Comicon returns for its biggest edition yet, promising a star-studded lineup.
Gearing up for its seventh year, the premier pop-culture convention will sprawl across two halls of the Henry B. González Convention Center, welcoming fans for a weekend of celebrity guests, panel discussions, live entertainment, exclusive merch, contests and everything in between.
Mark your calendars, the action-packed convention runs from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19.
The celebrity guest list features some big-name talent from some of your favorite movies and TV series. Antony Starr, known for playing the diabolical “Homelander” in The Boys, will headline alongside Jason Isaacs from Harry Potter and The White Lotus. Also joining the lineup is Jamie Campbell Bower, who terrified fans as “Vecna” in the latest season of Stranger Things and once sparkled his way through Twilight.
The event’s official site also lists the more featured guests including Priscilla Presley, Luis Guzmán (Wednesday), Kristen Schaal (Bob’s Burgers, What We Do in the Shadows), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Thomas Jane (The Punisher) and Henry Winkler—also known as “The Fonz.”
Wrestling fans can expect to see legends like Kane (Glenn Jacobs), Thunder Rosa and The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy).
Finally, fans of Cobra Kai will get a chance to meet Martin Kove, Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser. while Superbad fans can snag a selfie with “McLovin” himself, Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Conventiongoers can also look forward to live Q&A panels, booths of artists and vendors, a costume contest and immersive events like “Monsternomicon,” a Dungeons & Dragons-themed improv show that’s become a favorite in the local comedy scene.
