Bill Miller donates almost $200,000 to sustain Meals on Wheels in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — After Meals on Wheels announced that hundreds of seniors losing their meal delivery service, the Bill Miller family wanted to do their part.

On Friday, Bill Miller donated $192,000 to help fund Meals on Wheels for the next three months.

“Both Bill Miller and Meals on Wheels have a common mission in feeding the San Antonio community. We eagerly stepped in to donate to a cause that so many depend on daily,” said Jim Guy Egbert, CEO & President of Bill Miller.

The donation can help provide hope for thousands waiting for delivery service, the company said.

“For decades Bill Miller has been committed to serving families in need through their donation committee and community partnerships.”

Nov. 3 was supposed to be the day the meal delivery service would stop.
