Black Friday store, mall hours for San Antonio shoppers

The holiday season is a time of togetherness with family and friends, but also shopping. Whether you shop on Black Friday to knock our your Christmas list, or want to splurge and treat yourself to something fun, there are deals out there for everyone. 

Texas-based Academy Sports and Outdoors began sales for Black Friday deals on Sunday, November 19. The sales will continue through Saturday, November 25, according to a news release. There will be additional “doorbuster” deals on Black Friday in stores all day and beginning at 9 a.m. online. 

Academy stores will be closed on Thanksgiving and will be open on Black Friday from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The San Antonio Bass Pro Shops will be open on Thanksgiving from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Black Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to the website. Santa’s Wonderland is open now through Christmas Eve and shoppers can get a free 4×6 photo with Santa.

Best Buy locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and all local locations will be open for Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m except for one store. The Best Buy Outlet will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Black Friday.

Costco will be closed on Thanksgiving and local locations will open for Black Friday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

The wholesaler is sharing its warehouse pricing for deals online, and most items are available to be delivered. Early Black Friday deals kicked off on November 13 and savings will stretch through to November 27. Online-only deals will kick-off on the Costco website on Thanksgiving Day.

Dick’s Sporting Goods will be closed on Thanksgiving, and locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Lowe’s will be closed on Thanksgiving and open on Black Friday locally at 6 a.m. through 9 p.m.

Macy’s stores will be open from 6 a..m. to 11 p.m. on Black Friday.

Old Navy stores will be closed on Thanksgiving. Local locations will have varied hours on Black Friday, with almost all open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. South Park will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can view deals online.

Target will be closed on Thanksgiving. Local stores have varied holiday hours, but all open at 6 a.m. Closing times are staggered between 10 and 11 p.m. depending on the location, according to the Target website.
