For a limited time, blood donors who schedule an appointment at any South Texas Blood & Tissue donor center could win a free vacation getaway.
From Feb. 16-22 donors will be entered in the “Want To Get Away” giveaway for a $500 Airbnb and a $1,000 Southwest Airlines gift card, in an effort to raise blood supplies.
3% of the United States population donates blood annually, according to statistics from America’s Blood Centers. If 4% of the population donated, the shortages of blood within the community would reportedly disappear.
