The ice cream born in Brenham, Texas just dropped a new Honey Vanilla flavor — and fans are already buzzing.
BRENHAM, Texas — When a small Texas town makes what many argue is the best ice cream in the country, people pay attention.
Blue Bell Creameries, founded in 1907 in Brenham, Texas, just released its first new flavor of the year, and it’s pure Lone Star sweetness.
Say hello to Honey Vanilla.
The Brenham-based company describes it as a simple honey vanilla flavored ice cream, smooth, creamy and made for people who believe classic flavors should be done right.
“We are buzzing with excitement over the release of our first new flavor of the year,” said Carl Breed, Blue Bell’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Honey Vanilla is for those who love simple flavors done right. The rich, creamy ice cream texture blends perfectly with the honey’s mild sweetness.”
Blue Bell says the flavor is delicious on its own but also pairs well with cookies, cakes and brownies, basically, dessert’s new best friend.
And because this is Blue Bell, the carton is part of the fun. The pint features warm yellow honeycomb graphics with a honey jar and dipper designed to stand out in the freezer aisle.
Honey Vanilla is available in pint-size for a limited time.
Also returning this month? Fan-favorite Java Jolt, a coffee ice cream with dark chocolate chunks and a coffee fudge swirl — again, only while supplies last.
Despite being sold in just 24 states, Blue Bell remains one of the top-selling ice cream brands in the country. And it all started in Brenham, a small Texas town that somehow figured out how to make freezer magic.
Honey, you might want to clear some space in your freezer.
