Body found behind Jack in the Box restaurant on northeast side near Converse, authorities say

Deputies said there were no obvious signs of foul play.

SAN ANTONIO — A body was discovered on the far northeast side near Converse, Texas Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for an injured sick adult around 4 p.m. on FM 78 and Beech Trail Drive.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man’s body in the creek bed behind a Jack in the Box restaurant.

Deputies initially said due to decomposition it was unclear if there was any trauma to the body but later said there was nothing to indicate foul play.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said a passerby had reportedly seen the man on the ground but wasn’t overly concerned because of a nearby homeless encampment. They later returned and noticed the body still there and called the authorities.

The medical examiner identified the man as Allan Scott Arnold, 41, from Mississippi.
