SAN ANTONIO — The body found at Brackenridge Park last Friday morning has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.
He has been identified as 50-year-old Lance Ray Vordenbaum.
A week after he was found, his cause and mode of death are still pending as of Friday afternoon.
Officials initially categorized the incident as an “apparent sudden death” after no visible injuries were found on Vordenbaum’s body.
Police officials say the body was found late that morning close to the Zoo Train tracks east of Brackenridge Way.
A witness who was walking his dog in a wooded area of the park came upon the remains about 40 yards into the woods.
