Perry and his wife, Tina, went to Kerrville for the 4th of July weekend, but their RV was swept away, relatives told KHOU 11. She was found alive clinging to a tree.
KERRVILLE, Texas — The body of a League City firefighter who’d been missing since the 4th of July flood in Kerr County has been found, his family confirms.
Family members said the Brad and Tina Perry were camping along the Guadalupe for the holiday weekend when their RV was swept away by raging floodwaters.

The family last heard from Brad Perry around 5 a.m. on Friday when he spoke with his son.
“Said he was breathing, labored, and he said, ‘I’m in a tree. Your mom is gone. I got to go.’ And then that was it,” Debbie Whatley told KHOU 11 that morning.
Tina Perry was later found clinging to a tree. She was taken to an area hospital with a broken rib and punctured lung.
The Whatleys said Brad had trained in swift-water rescues, so they were praying that he would survive.
But the League City Fire Department and Perry’s sister-in-law said Tuesday that his remains had been found.
“Our hearts are shattered for his wife Tina, the Perry family, his fellow firefighters, and all who knew and loved him,” the Lightning Squad Organization posted, along with a tribute to Brad from LCFD.
Deadly Central Texas flooding

Hundreds of searchers and cadaver dogs are working round the clock to bring the families some sense of closure.
