BOERNE, Texas — A Boerne man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing more than 500 images of child pornography.
Toby Leer Beaumont, 51, was sentenced by Kirsten Cohoon in the 451st Judicial District Court to 40 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Beaumont previously entered a guilty plea to the first-degree felony offense of possession of child pornography involving 500 or more images.
In determining the sentence, the court heard testimony from Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Amanda Meyer and Kendall County Adult Probation Officer Mario Paredes. Judge Cohoon also reviewed a pre-sentence investigative report prepared by Paredes before imposing the 40-year prison term.
The investigation began in June 2024 after the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Beaumont was viewing child pornography. Investigators Meyer and Kassandra Ramirez conducted interviews and executed search warrants at Beaumont’s residence and the 18-wheeler truck he operated as an over-the-road driver.
During interviews with investigators, authorities said Beaumont admitted to a long-standing addiction and acknowledged he had been viewing child pornography for at least 10 years.
According to prosecutors, forensic evidence showed Beaumont possessed more than 500 images and videos of child pornography across multiple electronic devices. The files allegedly depicted children as young as toddlers.
