Boerne middle school principal arrested for 2nd DWI, unlawful carrying of weapon, records show

Boerne Middle School North’s principal was arrested for driving while intoxicated and carrying a weapon.

BOERNE, Texas — Kendall County records show that Boerne Middle School North’s principal was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Around 4 a.m. Friday morning, 48-year-old Daniel Owens was booked into the Kendall County Jail after being arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated 2nd and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Owens reportedly posted his $5,000 bail and was released from jail around 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

KENS 5 has reached out to Boerne ISD for comment, but have not yet heard back.
