Boerne real estate office transforms into collection center for donations being transported to Kerr County

In just 13 days, the team lead says 150 pallets of supplies have made their way to first responders and churches in need.

SAN ANTONIO — A real estate office in Boerne has transformed itself into a collection center for supplies to be delivered to Kerr County first responders, churches and families. KENS 5 met the owner of Rise Property Group Dainelle Scott at a warehouse where she and her volunteers were busy piling palettes.

“As of today, we’re sitting at 42 trucks that have gone out from our location full of supplies,” Scott said.

Scott, who also serves as the team lead, says they aren’t sending random items.

“We are taking first aid items to our first responders, things such as snake guards for their legs,” she said. “Moleskin for their feet, the durable work gloves for them. We’ve taken hundreds of rubber boots at this point.”

In just 13 days Dainelle Scott says 150 pallets have already made their way to first responders and churches in need.

Mountain Home Fire Department along with Hunt, Ingram, Center Point, Comfort, Devine and Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Departments are the recipients of these goods.

“We were able to provide 12 recliners to a church that is a main hub for first responders,” Scott said. “Those recliners are going directly into the guys on the ground who are doing the hard work and are seeing the unseeable.”

The length of time search efforts will take until everyone is found is unknown. What is unshakable in Scott’s eyes is the bond she has with the Hill Country community. Scott lived in the Hill Country for seven years.

“I had a lot of family and friends on the front lines, and being impacted so I wanted to do what I could to truly serve them where they needed it.”

Scott and volunteers from Rise Property Group, Hill Country Family Services and Legacy Farmstead are standing “Hill Country Strong.”

Scott says their donation needs change every day. Refer to these pages to find out how you can help:
