Cowboys and cowgirls won’t have to make long trips to the nearest popular outfitter in another town anymore. A clothing store will be on the way to the Texas Hill Country to offer new threads to locals.
Boot Barn is headed to Kerrville with a groundbreaking expected to happen in the spring. It will be the first Texas Hill Country location, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing. TDLR filings are subject to change without notice.
The scope of the work will include the “tenant interior finish to include new walls, finishes, fixtures, and paint,” according to the filing. The Boot Barn is expected to begin construction on April 1 with a roughly two-month build-out estimated to be completed by June 3.
The 12,000-square-foot store will cost about $650,000 to build, according to the TDLR filing.
The Boot Barn in Kerrville will be located at 1845 Sidney Baker St., Kerrville, TX 78028. The nearest Boot Barn to Kerrville is in San Antonio at The Rim, 17815 La Cantera Pkwy., San Antonio, TX 78257.
The company began in 1978 and created “Western lifestyle” clothing. Boot Barn offers men’s, women’s, and kids’ Western fashion that includes boots, hats, shirts, jeans, pants, wedding attire, hiking boots, and work wear, according to the Boot Barn website.
