SAN ANTONIO — Brad Simpson will be back in court on Monday in connection to the disappearance and murder of his wife Suzanne last October.
In two weeks, it will be one year since the Olmos Park mother disappeared.
Monday is going to be another discovery hearing in the case because the defense had a hard time trying to access some of the evidence the state passed over to them.
Most of the hearings for Simpson this year have been very quick because the state said it had thousands of pages they had to gather from the Texas Rangers.
Evidence gathering was also slowed down because first responders had to help in the Texas Hill Country flooding back in July.
Simpson is accused of murdering his wife Suzanne, who was last seen on October 6, 2024.
Simpson’s arrest affidavit details how a neighbor saw Suzanne trying to get away from Brad and heard screams from a wooded area near their home.
A search went on in that area and expanded to a landfill east of Bexar County and a ranch in Bandera County.
Her body has never been found.
Simpson is expected to be at the Bexar County Courthouse at 9 a.m. Monday.
