Simpson is accused of murdering his wife Suzanne and hiding her body. She has yet to be found.
SAN ANTONIO — Brad Simpson is due back in court Tuesday afternoon, this time for a child custody hearing.
Simpson is accused of killing his wife Suzanne and then hiding her body.
She’s been missing now for six months as Simpson remains in custody in the Bexar County Jail.
Simpson’s last custody hearing happened in December.
He was already ordered to have no contact with his youngest child and could only send letters to his teenage son. His older two children were able to decide if they wanted to stay in touch with him.
His hearing on Tuesday could change those conditions with his youngest children.
Right now, Child Protective Services has to review any letter sent by Simpson before it gets to his son.
In Simpson’s last discovery hearing in March, his attorneys were trying to get the case thrown based on evidence they’ve gathered so far from the state.
“I do think I have enough evidence to proceed with the motion to quash now,” Steven Gilmore, Simpson’s attorney. “So, I would just ask for a hearing on that within 30 days.”
Brad Simpson is expected to be back in court on April 22 at 9 a.m. for that motion to quash the indictment.
A trial date for the murder of Suzanne has still not been set.
Tuesday’s child custody hearing is set to start at 3 p.m.
