SAN ANTONIO — One of San Antonio’s biggest free community fitness events is gearing up to roll through the city again next month.
Síclovía returns to Broadway on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., transforming several miles of roadway into a car-free zone for walking, biking and family-friendly fun.
The route will stretch from near the KLRN studios to Brackenridge Park, creating a temporary playground for pedestrians and cyclists along one of the city’s busiest corridors.
Organizers say activity hubs will be set up along the route, offering exercise classes, local vendors, food trucks and activities for kids.
This year’s Síclovía also celebrates the 150th anniversary of the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.
The event encourages residents to get active, explore the city and enjoy a day outdoors while Broadway is closed to vehicle traffic.
