NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — The New Braunfels Buc-ee’s has earned the number two slot for “Best Family Rest Stop in America,” according to SIXT+.
The flexible car subscription service put together the list of best family rest stop throughout the USA ahead of the busy summer road trip season.
According to the service, 71% of Americans plan to drive to their next vacation in 2026, and Google searches for “best rest stops” are up 108% in the past year. SIXT+ analyzed the 30 most mentioned rest stops and scored them based on popularity, convenience and accessibility, family facilities (including playgrounds, baby changing stations, picnic areas, and pet-friendly spaces), and the number of nearby dining options.
The New Braunfels location of Buc-ee’s earned a perfect score of 10/10 for convenience and shared the highest dining score of 10/10 with the store earning the top slot. The Tamarack Marketplace in Beckley, WV, claimed the top spot overall and only had a slight edge in family facilities and popularity.
