Buc-ee’s is picking up right where it left off, continuing its venture out of the Lone Star State. This year, a new Tennessee convenience store opening will be the biggest Buc-ee’s to date…for now.
The Sevierville, Tennessee Buc-ee’s, east of Knoxville, is set to open in May, according to a WATE 6 news report. The grand opening date isn’t set in stone, but the report states that the massive 74,000-square-foot will open sometime in May. Sevierville is also 20 minutes away from Dollywood, the famed theme park owned by country music legend Dolly Parton.
The new store is 8,000 square-feet larger than the New Braunfels location, which measures 66,335 square-feet. Even though the “Biggest Buc-ee’s” title is going to Tennessee, it will only have the title until Texas takes it back when the new Luling Buc-ee’s opens.
The Sevierville location will be the Texas-based giant gas station’s second Tennessee store. The first location is in Crossville, right between Knoxville and Nashville. It is located at 2045 Genesis Road, Crossville, TN 38555.
The Sevierville store won’t be the first Buc-ee’s that will open this year, but it is one of the two locations that are expected to open in 2023, according to Buc-ee’s website.
The Auburn, Alabama location is set to open in April or May, Buc-ee’s General Counsel Jeff Nadalo said to MySA in an email. Nadalo added that the Auburn store will open up before the Sevierville store. It will be located off Exit 407 on Interstate 40.
