Post Malone, Peyton Manning, and Shane Gillis star in a new national ad as Bud Light rolls out Super Bowl-themed promotions.
WASHINGTON — Bud Light is making a familiar play ahead of Super Bowl 60.
The beer brand is returning to the Super Bowl spotlight, and they’re reuniting Post Malone, Shane Gillis, and Peyton Manning for a new national ad campaign leading up to the Big Game.
It marks the second year in a row the trio has teamed up for Bud Light and continues the brand’s strategy of leaning on recognizable faces tied to past Super Bowl moments.
In the new spot, the three are shown on a road trip to a wedding with a Bud Light keg riding along in the backseat. The setup builds on last year’s commercial, which featured the group turning a suburban cul-de-sac into a whole block party. This time, the celebration moves from the neighborhood to the open road, highlighting the NFL’s official beer sponsor.
The commercial marks another Super Bowl appearance for all three stars. It will be Peyton Manning’s fourth Super Bowl ad with Bud Light, Post Malone’s fifth and Shane Gillis’ second.
Alongside the ad campaign, Bud Light is launching a nationwide keg promotion tied to Super Bowl 60. From now through Super Bowl Sunday, fans 21 and older can receive $60 off the purchase of a Bud Light keg in honor of 60 years of the Super Bowl. The discount is accessible by scanning a QR code at the time of purchase.
Post Malone will also be part of Bud Light’s Super Bowl weekend events, headlining an exclusive concert, Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies, in San Francisco on Friday, Feb. 6.
