Here’s a sample of what the teams said after the game.

Coach Gregg Popovich:

“We are showing more consistency. Down the stretch, experienced guys probably feel a little more comfortable shooting those threes, but we had the same ones. Eventually, they’ll fall.”

“We fought the entire night. we went down 16 and the bench came up huge for us. tied it and took the lead. they were playing great defense that led to offense. We continued to fight. We were hitting shots, they hit tough shots, and it was a back-and-forth game. We just didn’t hit enough to make it. It was a good showing for us to battle the way we did especially against a team like them.”

“We boxed out. We got rebounds. I know down the stretch Vucevic got two big rebounds but we took care of the glass in the second half. We were a lot more active. We just challenged ourselves, to be honest, and to have some pride and we made it a game. We’ll continue to stay positive. We will go over some film tomorrow make some corrections and get ready for the game in Atlanta. I definitely think we left it all out there tonight.”

Billy Donovan:

“I think we are playing stylistically how I’d like to see us play, how I think the game should be played. We’re sharing the ball. We’re trying to generate shots. We’re scoring more points.”

Nikola Vucevic:

“It always feels good to hit a big shot at the end of the game. I was really happy I made a shot, but I was more happy I helped us win a game. We came up with a big, big win for us on the road.”
