Bystanders pull driver from burning car after crash in The Woodlands

A Township Parks employee and another witness rescued the victim at the intersection of Lake Woodlands and Lakeside Drive, The Woodlands Fire Department said.

Two people are credited with saving a driver after a fiery crash in The Woodlands on Monday afternoon. 

Multiple 911 callers reported the accident around 2:25 p.m. 

One car burst into flames and the other driver crashed into a pole at the intersection of Lake Woodlands Drive and Lakeside Boulevard. 

An employee with The Woodlands Township Parks and Rec and another witness pulled the driver out of the burning car, The Woodlands Fire Department said. The victim was rushed to the hospital after being treated at the scene by EMTs.

The other driver wasn’t badly hurt. 

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
