SAN ANTONIO — When an argument turned into a shooting under a west-side highway Wednesday night, police say a bystanding woman was struck in the torso by gunfire while she was driving.
Police say a woman in her 20s was driving in the turnaround around the intersection of 410 and Marbach around 11:36 p.m. While she was driving, an altercation under the highway took place. The altercation led to shots being fired, hitting the woman in the torso.
She drove into the McDonald’s parking lot and crashed into a pole next to the Whataburger’s drive thru, according to police. She was unresponsive.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her condition is unknown as of Thursday morning.
It’s unclear if the shooters have been found or will be facing charges.
