San Antonio went undefeated in February before losing to the Knicks. They’ll play a Philadelphia squad that will be without the services of star Joel Embiid.
SAN ANTONIO — On a night when Texas politicians will be gathering for primary election watch parties across the state, Spurs faithful will also gather in front of their screens hoping to see their team get back into the win column.
San Antonio (43-17, second in the West) went a perfect 11-0 in February, a stretch that cemented them as Western Conference contenders in the eyes of many sports pundits and the most imaginative of Spurs fans. The run came to an end Sunday with a 114-89 drubbing at the hands of a New York Knicks team that has championship dreams of its own (and the recent experience needed to command the moment come playoffs time).
“Their physicality on the basketball was apparent,” Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson said after Sunday’s afternoon game. “Just a well-coached, well-executed, well-connected performance from their whole group, top to bottom.”
Up next for the Silver & Black is a Tuesday visit to the Philadelphia 76ers (33-27, sixth in the East). It’ll serve as the conclusion to San Antonio’s 2026 Rodeo Road Trip before the team returns home for six straight games against some of the NBA’s best teams, including Houston, Denver and a rematch with Detroit.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT. Here’s what to know ahead of time.
How to watch
The game will be nationally televised on NBA and Peacock, as well as available to watch on FanDuel Sports Southwest. You can also listen to game action on WOAI 1200 and KXTN 1350.

Injury report
As of 9 p.m. Monday, the Spurs look to be at full strength with their regular rotation for their visit to Philly. Only Mason Plumlee, recently signed for the rest of the season by San Antonio to serve as center depth, is listed as out for reconditioning.
The 76ers will be without the services of two of their top-three leading scorers: Embiid (26.6 points per game) will miss his 27th game of the season after suffering an oblique strain and Paul George (16.0) is serving a 25-game suspension for violating the association’s anti-drug policy. Kelly Oubre Jr. (14.3 ppg) is available after recovering from a knee injury.
Five more things to know
- San Antonio’s 128-120 victory over Philadelphia on March 21, 2025, snapped a four-game losing streak to the 76ers. Tuesday will see them facing off for the first time this season.
- Philadelphia’s 118.3 points per game after the All-Star Break is good for sixth in the NBA in the span; the Spurs rank ninth with 116.5.
- The 76er are 11-15 without seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid this season.
- Victor Wembanyama’s 19.2 points per game after the All-Star Break ranks 37th in the NBA. He was scoring at a 24.4 points-per-game clip before the break (22nd in the NBA).
- Like San Antonio, Philadelphia is riding ascendant young stars (25-year-old Tyrese Maxey, 20-year-old rookie VJ Edgecombe) to a big turnaround season. At 33-27, the 76ers have already won nine more games than all of last year and are eying a return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2023-24 campaign.
