The Mexican singer on Thursday announced the stops he’ll be making as part of his “Tour Norteamerican 2026.”
SAN ANTONIO — Award-winning Mexican singer Carín León is fresh off two straight Grammy wins for Best Música Mexicana Album, having secured the 2026 trophy Sunday for his “Palabra de To’s (Seca).”
His encore: a 37-show North American tour starting with several Texas gigs, including a show at Frost Bank Center in Sn Antonio on May 24. A pair of concerts in the Rio Grande Valley community of Hidalgo will kick off a run of six concerts in the Lone Star State.
Tickets for the San Antonio concert go on sale to general audiences Friday at 10 a.m., via the venue’s website and Ticketmaster.
“Returning to the United States and Canada to reunite with my people fills me with excitement. I’m returning with new songs and all the history we’ve built together,” León said in a press release. “We’re preparing a very special production so we can feel closer than ever… see you soon, mi gente.”
León, 36, hails from the Mexican state of Sonora and has seen his star rise as a solo artist after performing with Grupo Arranke. A 10-time Latin Grammy Awards nominee and four-time winner, his albums “Boca Chueca, Vol. 1” and “Palabra de To’s (Seca)” won him his first two Grammys in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
León specializes in soft ballads and a more country-adjacent side of musica Mexicana compared to popular counterparts like Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida. He’s also collaborated with an impressive host of international stars like Ricky Martin, Santana, Mana and Texas’ Leon Bridges.
And, later this year, León will play a historic show when he becomes the first Latin artist to perform at the Las Vegas Sphere.
