Carolina Panthers select former Aggie, Bryan native Nic Scourton

Scourton was selected 51st overall by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday night.

A starter across all 12 regular-season games for A&M, Scourton ranked third in the SEC with 14 tackles for a loss and led the team with five sacks. 

The Bryan native suited up for Purdue across two seasons before transferring to College Station. 

Scourton was a four-star recruit as a senior coming out of Bryan High School and appeared in the 2022 Army All-American Bowl.  Recorded 136 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks and five forced fumbles in his junior and senior seasons to earn First Team All-District 12- 6A honors, according to Texas A&M.
