TRINITY COUNTY, Texas — A cat that was found taped inside of a box at an East Texas gas station has a new home.
According to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, a man was seen on video dumping the cat taped up inside a box at an area gas station. The man accused of dumping the animal was found and charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals.
Officials said the rescued cat has since been adopted.
“It is illegal to dump animals and we will investigate and arrest those who add to already overpopulation of strays,” the TCSO said.
