Caught on video: Woman arrested at Alamo Quarry Market after leading troopers on chase

SAN ANTONIO — A chase that crossed two counties with DPS troopers has ended with a woman in jail Thursday.

It all started off I-35 in Comal County around 2 p.m. when the Department of Public Safety says a trooper tried to pull over the woman in her white Toyota SUV for a traffic violation. But they say she refused to stop, driving erratically along the way, DPS says, and ramming into multiple cars, including a DPS patrol unit.

The woman finally pulled into the Alamo Quarry Market shopping center where the chaos continued. DPS tells us they believe the woman was intoxicated, but say they are still investigating.

According to DPS, the woman jumped out of her SUV and ran into the Salons by JC. A trooper soon caught up with the woman there and tried to arrest her. Some kind of struggle ensued and that’s when authorities say she assaulted the trooper before finally taking the her into custody.

The 37-year-old barefoot suspect seemed to be in good spirits despite the chaos DPS says she caused. She didn’t seem to have any remorse as she smiled at the cameras while being hauled off to jail. She is being charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. No injuries were reported.

This is a developing story.
