
The San Antonio Spurs suffered a 113-101 home defeat to the Cavaliers, marking a two-game skid.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs lost at home to the Cavaliers 113-101 and are now on a two-game losing streak. Victor Wembanyama led the team with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Luke Kornet had 10 points and nine rebounds. Dylan Harper scored 11, while Keldon Johnson recorded eight points and nine rebounds off the bench. Harrison Barnes added three points. Stephon Castle had 15 points and three assists. Devin Vassell added seven off 3-of-10 shooting, and De’Aaron Fox finished with 14 off 4-of-13 shooting.
The Spurs are 23-9 and will next host the Knicks on Wednesday night.

“Cleveland gets an immense amount of credit for their game plan, their execution, and their defense in general. It felt like an unnecessary feeling of desperation at times tonight. And I think there are probably a few different sources of that, some of it’s motivation, some is trying to make a play. Some are trying to be aggressive. Some of it is trying to extend a lead, cut a lead where you can’t get six-point plays.”
Wembanyama:
“It’s also a transition in our season for us, because we just came off a very tough stretch of which we came out pretty successful. It was very demanding games, you know, mentally demanding scouting reports and opponents, and we have to be able to settle down after that.”
