CCPD, Nueces ‘Cow’-nty deputies wrangle a bull and 5 cows

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Ever wonder why the cow crossed the road?

Well, on Tuesday, five cows and a bull made their way home from near Saratoga Boulevard and County Road 35—thanks to the quick thinking of the Corpus Christi Police Department and the Nueces ‘Cow’-nty Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were called around 1:47 p.m. about loose livestock causing a traffic hazard.

When officers arrived, they were ‘udderly’ shocked by what they found.

Video footage shows police greeting a lone cow, which looked around like, “Holy cow, I’m surrounded!”

Using feed as bait, officers and deputies corralled the animals onto a truck and safely removed them from the scene. According to CCPD, the cows were safely returned to their owner.

A big ‘moo-chas gracias’ to Tractor Supply Co. for donating feed and equipment that helped get the cattle back where they belong!
