SAN ANTONIO — If you’re looking for the best Black Friday deal in town, you won’t find it at a department store — you’ll find it at San Antonio Animal Care Services.
Spend Black “Furday” at the city’s animal shelter with a NO FEE pet adoption special on Friday, Nov. 28, from 1–4 p.m.
All adoptable pets at the shelter, located at 4710 State Highway 151, are included in the promotion. The department says the annual event is designed to help more animals find loving homes during the holidays while removing cost barriers for families eager to adopt.
Prospective adopters will have the chance to work with free matchmaking services and spend time with potential pets in more than a dozen get-acquainted yards before making a decision. Every animal adopted from SAACS is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, licensed, microchipped, and de-wormed — and adopters will head home with a free goodie bag filled with starter supplies for their new furry family member.
SAACS will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving, but will reopen for the “Black Furday” adoption event on Friday.
