SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio is turning up the volume this weekend. Whether you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate dad, want to groove along with some music icons or take part in some family-friendly events celebrating culture and community — there’s something for everyone.

Shakira

Colombian singer-songwriter and trailblazer in the Latin American music scene, Shakira will bring her “Las Mujeres Ya No Llloran Tour” to the Alamo City on Friday.

2025 Juneteenth Festival

If your Father is a history buff, catch a showing of San Antonio | The Saga, a free 24-minute lightshow projected onto the historic San Fernando Cathedral.

Fatherfest

Alamo Beer Company will host its 10th Annual Fatherfest on Sunday, a go-to celebration for San Antonio families looking to treat dad to a fun, relaxing day out.

The event promises cold beer, delicious food and dad-friendly vendors. Plus, a portion of proceeds from the event benefit Pints for Prostates, a national nonprofit focused on men’s health awareness.

All dads will receive a complimentary pint with their first beer order and guests can browse local vendors curated with dads in mind—ranging from wood work to shoe shines and accessories.

Grand Funk Railroad

A legendary classic rock group is “comin’ to your town to help you party it down.” Grand Funk Railroad will bring its “American Band Tour” to the Tobin Center on Friday.

The internationally-acclaimed group has toured the world, selling out stadiums since the 1970s. Their influence on the classic rock landscape laid the groundwork for iconic bands like Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen and Bon Jovi.
